France Košir, a Slovene painter, studied in Ljubljana at the Technical High School, and later at the Zagreb Academy. After graduating from the academy, he devoted himself to school work and was employed at several grammar schools in Slovenia. He preferred to paint landscapes - landscapes of the Ptuj area, Kranj, Golnik and his favorite city Škofja Loka. Many times he painted the river Soro, which flows past his birth house. He participated in a group exhibitions in Ljubljana and was a member of the Club of Slovenian Fine Artists Lada (summarized from Wikipedia).
