(Kranj, 1913 - Ljubljana, 1967)
Marij Pregelj, a Slovenian painter, the son of the writer Ivan Pregelj. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. After the war, he first taught design schools, then at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana (as a full professor). He was also the president of the Association of Fine Artists of Yugoslavia. His paintings and drawings are of high quality, iconographically and symbolically full of color-coordinated images with a considered composition. He also created query illustrations. Pregelj is one of the most important painters in the middle of the 20th century in Slovenia (summarized from Wikipedia). For all additional information regarding the purchase and other services, you can contact us by phone or e-mail: info@portaalpina-gallery.com
