She worked as a graphic artist, illustrator, painter and university professor in Kamnik, Ljubljana, London and Paris. She studied art at the Liverpool School of Art, then went on to the Royal Collage of Art in Kensington, where she specialized in engraving and etching. She also studied in Paris for some time. During this time, she went to the countryside several times, where she created watercolors in particular. In 1926 she began illustrating children's books, and she also illustrated works by Slovenian authors (Vladimir Levstik, Ivan Cankar, Matej Bor, etc.). After the wedding, she and her husband went on a trip around Slovenia, where she kept an illustrated wedding diary entitled "Slovenia, Summer 1928". The diary contains rich illustrations of Ljubljana, Bohinj, Bled and especially Kamnik and its wider surroundings.
