Greta Pečnik is a very famous Slovenian naive painter. She started painting in 1961. Greta worked on her paintings in the original pictorial language, thus transforming real life into fantastic scenes. In her career, she has received a number of awards, including a diploma at II. international exhibition of naive painting in Switzerland, honorary award at the exhibition of European naive painting "Europe 75" in Switzerland, a large gold plaque of the camp of self-taught artists in Trebnje, Oscar D'Italia and Premio Milano 1988 (summarized from Wikipedia).-
