Rudi Španzel, a Slovenian painter, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana and also completed two specializations. He is considered one of the few contemporary painters in Slovenia who creates according to the principle of Renaissance artists. His paintings emphasize realism and thoughtful symbolism. He has had several exhibitions at home and abroad, especially in England and the United States.
