(Kranj, 1984 – )
Tina Dobrajc is a Slovenian painter, illustrator and multidisciplinary artist. In her artistic expression, she has brought to the forefront current questions that every individual should ask themselves. She is interested in environmental issues and cultural identity, and she also researches the position of women in contemporary society.

In 2007, the artist graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, and then completed her master's degree under the mentorship of Herman Gvardjančič. She often places her motifs in a mysterious forest landscape that fills the background. She is mainly inspired by the pre-Alpine hills and the surroundings of Škofja Loka. Female figures often appear in her images. In older works, they are mostly the main protagonists, while in newer ones they appear as masked or more peripheral figures. Her characteristic theme is the march, into which grotesque fantasy enters. The artist presents her view of the world in cycles of images. Local folklore, or motifs from Slovenian tradition, which she combines with local iconography and national symbols.
Tina Dobrajc is also interested in gender mythology and social issues. She demands a critical approach from the viewer to understanding her works, which is often somewhat dreamy and reaches beyond the boundaries of reality. She also enjoys performance, and her oeuvre includes quite a few videos and textile interventions. She often includes ready-made objects in her works or builds works based on the assemblage technique. These deal with the same themes as her canvases. Recently, the artist has created several sets and costumes for local theaters, and she also works with illustration. Her works are kept and exhibited by important museums and galleries throughout Slovenia. They can be found in the Loš Museum, the Nova Gorica City Gallery, the Museums and Galleries of the City of Ljubljana, and other institutions.
Tina Dobrajc often participates in group exhibitions, and she has also had quite a few solo exhibitions. The artist lives and works in Škofja Loka, where she tries to establish her socially engaged practice. She is the recipient of several Slovenian and international awards, including the Rihard Jakopič Award, and is also a member of the Škofja Loka Artists Association.

Najdemo jih v Loškem muzeju, Mestni galeriji Nova Gorica, Muzejih in galerijah mesta Ljubljane in drugih institucijah.
