After graduating from high school, France Slana enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, where he studied painting and graduated in 1949. Slana created in various techniques, from gouache, tempera to pastel, but mostly in oil and watercolor. His motifs are mostly traditional and timeless, such as the sea, flowers, women, animals, etc. His oeuvre includes paintings, drawings, graphics, tapestries and ceramics (summarized from Wikipedia).-
