Gregor Smukovič, an academic painter, graduated with honors in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana in 2012. He specializes in classical oil painting based on an interest in detailed figurative compositions in direct contact with nature. His oil paintings on canvas are the result of oil coatings in several layers with natural glue and Bologna chalk.
