Lapajne Tone began his artistic career as a sculptor, later devoting himself more to painting. He studied at the School of Design, then graduated in sculpture at the Ljubljana Academy of Fine Arts and completed his studies as a "Sculptor - specialist". Later, he traveled to France, studied in England, and continued his studies on trips to Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Italy. From 1965 onwards, he worked as a freelance artist. At first he created in concrete and iron, later with wood. After 1975, he also established himself as a painter. He painted mainly with acrylic paints and his own original painting material (bog soil applied to jute and canvas). He has had more than 70 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 40 group exhibitions at home and abroad (summarized from Wikipedia).-
