Franjo Sterle (also France Sterle, Franjo Strle and Franz Sterle), a Slovenian painter and draftsman, studied at the sculpture department of the Vocational School of Arts and Crafts, at the Vocational School for the Wood Industry, and then at the Vienna Academy. He later co-founded the Probuda school in Ljubljana, and after 1925 he worked as a freelance artist and traveled to Italy, Corsica, southern France and England. Lightning created mainly portraits, occasionally landscapes, he painted with oil and drew with charcoal and pencil (summarized from Wikipedia).-
