(Ljubljana, 1929 - Valična vas in the Dolenjska region, 1990)
The beginnings of the painter's work date back to his early teenage years, and he later enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts. He first worked mainly with ceramics and watercolors, and with oils after 1960. He was associated with nature as a hunter and fisherman, so many of his motifs are from the Alpine world (especially around Bohinj, in the background often depicted Triglav), Dolenjska , Prekmurje or from Poljanska dolina. He especially loved landscaping. It is characterized by elongated, lyrical motifs of nature, whether mountains, hills or landscapes by the water. His strokes on canvas and paper are wide, bold and fast. He was also a photographer (summarized from Wikipedia).
