Rihard Jakopič - A study of a man with open arms
Across the whole plot, in a barely perceptible deviation from the vertical, is depicted a man in long trousers and a jacket, stripped apart and with outstretched arms; the face (gaze) follows the gesture of the right. The head is small and it is obvious that the painter's spectacle was more at the ground - the legs are relatively stronger and the body seems to be thinner and shorter towards the top. The idea is realized very picturesquely and the drawing is undoubtedly Jakopič's work in all its decisive characteristics (Expert opinion on the artistic drawing of the Slovenian painter - JANEZ MESESNEL).
