Avgust Andrej Bucik - Skaberne portrait
Slovenian painter, whose family originates from Avč. He visited the Academy of Arts in Vienna and did not graduate. After World War I, he was called up as a reserve officer on the Russian front, where he was captured and sent into captivity. He returned to Trieste in 1919. He later taught drawing at a high school in Idrija, then lived in Vienna and traveled to several European and African cities. He has lived in Ljubljana and Maribor since 1934.
